澳洲媒體《Australian Financial Review》引述消息人士表示，國泰(00293)有意競購維珍澳洲航空25.9%股權。
報道稱，國泰為加強香港來回澳洲航線運力，以及增強於澳洲及整個亞洲航空市場的影響力，因此有意參與競購。
報道亦稱，國泰亦考慮收購維珍澳洲航空全部股份。
另外，海南航空亦表示有意收購維珍25.9%股權。
